Kirke has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Machon Insurance
in 1979.

Prior to joining Machon Insurance, Kirke was an Underwriter for Chubb Insurance in their Inland Marine Division. He became a licensed insurance agent in 1975 and worked part-time for Machon Insurance from 1975-1978.

In 1980, Kirke received the Blue Ribbon Sales Award from Aetna Insurance Company after completing their Casualty & Surety Home Office Sales Training Class. He has earned insurance industry professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and is licensed to sell property, casualty, life, health and long-term care insurance. He is also a licensed Surplus Lines producer in the state of Illinois.

Kirke is a member of the CPCU Society and the Society of Financial Professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Economics.

Kirke has been active in local government, serving as an alderman in the City of Park Ridge as well as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals. He also served as a member of the Government Relations Committee of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (PIIAI), where he chaired their Federal Affairs Committee.

Kirke has also served as an elder and trustee of Park Ridge Presbyterian Church and as a manager for Park Ridge Baseball.
